Compensation: $140k-$170k base plus bonus; 'all-in' potential $200k
Our client is a thriving, well-respected RIA / Wealth Management firm with offices in NYC and Palm Beach. The New York team has an opening for an experienced, client-focused Holistic Certified Financial Planner to formulate and implement holistic financial planning advice (e.g., estate planning, tax planning, cash flow, etc.) and partner with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP):
The CFP will focus on assigned High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients and work closely with internal teams.
- Relationship Management: Be a point of contact for clients, holding meaningful conversations and ensuring long-term relationships and ongoing customer care.
- Financial Plan Development: Based on clients' goals and circumstances, create comprehensive and holistic financial plans including:
- Defining clients' goals and objectives
- Income Tax Planning
- Balance Sheet analysis
- Risk Management and Insurance
- Retirement, Education, and Special Needs planning
- Cash Flow Statement
- Investment Planning
- Client Service: Provide exceptional, tailored, consultative client service that exceeds expectations.
- Prepare customized presentations and materials for clients.
- Contribute to company projects and initiatives as needed.
- Occasional travel as required.
Qualifications of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP):
- 5+ years of experience in comprehensive holistic financial planning, demonstrating ability to partner with internal stakeholders and HNW/UHNW clients. Experience with tax and/or insurance planning is a plus.
- Holds the CFP designation.
- Experience presenting or participating in client meetings.
- Extensive experience serving UHNW clients, with a focus on generational wealth management and preservation is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline.
- Strong financial planning interest, acumen, and judgment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for a non-financial audience.
- Familiarity with financial planning software; experience with eMoney is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel; tech-savvy.
- Detail-oriented, self-starter, takes initiative.
- Team player, collaborative, able to work effectively with others, including staff in other branches.
- Organized with the ability to set priorities.
- Highest integrity, fiduciary professionalism, and polished demeanor.
