Job summary

Lockport Township Fire Protection District is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Technician to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair fire apparatus and support vehicles in a growing fleet program. The EVT ensures readiness of engines, ladder trucks, ambulances and staff vehicles to support emergency response operations safely and efficiently, with training offered for the right candidate.

Preferred qualifications include ASE and EVT certifications and NFPA standards knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience with inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of fire district apparatus.
• Willing to train the right candidate.
• NFPA standards knowledge preferred.
