The position involves travel to client sites, reporting findings, and recommending corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current QEI certification from NAESA/ QEITF/ NAEC.
• Valid state/local licenses for the territory.
• Strong knowledge of ASME codes and safety standards.
• Ability to interpret codes and explain to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of elevators, escalators, and other conveyance systems per codes.
• Conduct acceptance, annual, periodic, alteration, repair, and special inspections; witness safety tests.
• Identify violations; document findings and corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports to AHJ, property owners, and internal teams.
• Interpret and apply code intent; communicate findings to owners, contractors, and regulators.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and stay current on code updates.
• Complete continuing education and maintain QEI certification and licenses.
• Support workload with additional inspections and client coverage.
• Promote company services through professional field representation.
