Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Certified Maintenance Electrician preferred.

  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.

Certified Electrical Maintenance Technician

Reporting To

Engineering Manager

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  2. Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
  3. Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices.
  4. Perform diagnosis and root cause analysis of GIS equipment.
  5. Troubleshoot and program PLCs on industrial production equipment.
  6. Repair and replace electrical equipment, wiring, and components.
  7. Follow national electrical codes and local regulations.
  8. Install, troubleshoot, and set up VFDs.
  9. Repair and troubleshoot motor controls.
  10. Perform conduit bending.
  11. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers for code compliance.
  12. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
  13. Maintain and repair auxiliary power units.
  14. Test circuits for overloads and determine circuit requirements.
  15. Assist in reviewing plans and designing new electrical systems.
  16. Work on energized and de-energized circuits safely.
  17. Evaluate existing equipment and plan future installations.
  18. Use proper safety equipment and procedures.
  19. Manage projects, oversee vendors and contractors as needed.
  20. Work shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Electrician Certificate or Trade School/College Degree.
  • Preferred 8+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing as a Certified Maintenance Electrician.
  • Skills in blueprint reading, PLC, and electronics.
  • Certifications: Journeyman Electrician, NFPA 70E, FA/CPR/AED, Lock Out/Tag Out, OSHA, NEC.
  • Customer-oriented with troubleshooting skills for automated machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Welding skills and proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Team player capable of working independently and safely.
  • Legal work authorization for the US.
