Qualifications

• Trade School formal training from ultrasound school and cardiovascular required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1 Year Experience In Echocardiography Preferred.
• Basic Life Support Required.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer Required or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Required.

Responsibilities

• Performs various echocardiography studies on patients under the direction of a Cardiologist, Supervisor and/or Lead Technologist.
• Gathers and documents appropriate data and reports probable findings to appropriate physicians.
• Maintains certification/registration with approved credentialing agencies.
• Conducts and assists with the interpretation of various types of echocardiograms including M-mode, 2-D, and doppler, and to assist with transesophageal and stress echo.
• Prepares and instructs the patient, performs the study to obtain maximum quality results, cleans and maintains proper functioning of equipment, enters patient data in computer systems.
