Temple Health seeks an Echocardiography Technologist to perform echocardiography studies on patients under the direction of a Cardiologist, Supervisor and/or Lead Technologist. You will gather and document data, report probable findings to physicians, and maintain credentialing through approved agencies.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining high-quality images, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.

Formación

• Trade school formal training from ultrasound school and cardiovascular required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Performs various echocardiography studies on patients under the direction of a Cardiologist, Supervisor and/or Lead Technologist. Gathers and documents appropriate data and reports probable findings to appropriate physicians. Maintains certification/registration with approved credentialing agencies. Conducts and assists with the interpretation of various types of echocardiograms including M-mode, 2-D, and doppler, and to assist with transesophageal and stress echo. Prepares and instructs the patient, performs the study to obtain maximum quality results, cleans and maintains proper functioning of equipment, enters patient data in computer systems.

Education

• Trade School formal training from ultrasound school and cardiovascular Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience

• 1 year experience in Echocardiography Preferred

Licenses

• Basic Life Support Required
• Reg Cardiac Sonographer Required or
• Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer Required
