Role Description

This full-time, on-site Certified Drone Operator role is based in Murfreesboro, TN and supports security operations through the safe and effective use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting scheduled and on-demand drone patrols, performing aerial surveillance and monitoring, and capturing high-quality video and imagery for security assessments. The role involves pre-flight planning, equipment checks, compliant flight operations, post-flight reporting, and basic maintenance of drones and related systems. The Certified Drone Operator collaborates with security teams and supervisors to respond to incidents, enhance situational awareness, and support risk management activities. The position may also assist with training team members on drone procedures and best practices, and requires adherence to all regulatory guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with Drone Piloting and UAV operations, including safe flight practices and mission execution.
• Hands-on familiarity with Drones, including basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and use of onboard cameras and sensors.
• Background in Piloting and Training, with the ability to follow flight protocols and help train others on standard operating procedures.
• Current drone certification (e.g., FAA Part 107 or equivalent) and strong knowledge of applicable aviation regulations.
• Ability to interpret maps, flight plans, and geofencing tools; comfort working with digital platforms and security technologies.
• Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and confidentiality in security operations.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with on-site security teams in dynamic environments.
• Willingness to work varying shifts, including evenings or weekends, as operational needs require; prior security or law enforcement experience is beneficial.
