Job summary

Titan Protection and Consulting, Inc. seeks a skilled Security Drone Operator to join our drone operations team in Overland Park, KS. You will deploy UAVs to monitor assets, respond to incidents in real time, and provide aerial intelligence to guide on-ground teams.

Must hold FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) and be comfortable with 24/7 scheduling, routine pre-flight checks, and documenting flight activity while staying compliant with FAA rules and privacy laws.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and certified Security Drone Operator to join our drone operations team. In this role, you will leverage cutting-edge unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to protect client assets, respond to security incidents in real time, and provide aerial intelligence that empowers our ground teams. If you are FAA-certified, technically proficient, and passionate about applying drone technology to real-world security challenges, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surveillance & Patrol — Conduct scheduled and autonomous patrols over critical infrastructure, venues, and private property to detect intruders and identify safety hazards before they escalated.
  • Incident Response — Deliver live aerial intelligence during security incidents and emergencies, providing real-time situational awareness that guides on-ground personnel to rapid resolution.
  • Equipment Management — Perform thorough pre-flight checks, routine maintenance, and diagnostic assessments on drones, cameras, and data docking stations to ensure mission readiness at all times.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting — Analyze live footage and recorded data for anomalies, including tracking suspicious activity, documenting suspicious and criminal activity, and generating detailed incident reports for stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance — Ensure all drone operations strictly adhere to FAA regulations, applicable safety protocols, and relevant privacy laws, maintaining accurate flight logs and documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Licensing — FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) is required. Candidates must maintain currency and comply with all associated regulatory obligations.
  • Flight Experience — Demonstrated proficiency with a range of drone operations, including both automated mission planning and manual flight operations across diverse environments.
  • Technical Skills — Working knowledge of video surveillance software, GPS-based flight planning tools, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain electronic equipment in the field.
  • Communication — Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams, including ground security personnel and law enforcement agencies.
  • Flexibility & Reliability - This position supports 24/7/365 operations and requires availability for varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving – Ability to analyze situations, identify threats and determine the best course.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a security, law enforcement, or military environment.
  • Familiarity with BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations or waiver operations.
