Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks certified driving instructors to provide behind-the-wheel instruction to high school students after school and on weekends. Instructors will prepare students to earn their Pennsylvania driver's licenses in accordance with the Pennsylvania Driver's Manual.

The certified instructor is responsible for teaching the fundamentals of operating a vehicle safely and proper driving management techniques, with a 20-25 hour weekly expectation, primarily afternoons

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• PennDOT Driver's Education Certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a driver and a clean driving record required.
• Valid PA driver's license required.
• Maintain all required certifications outlined by Penn Dot.
• Able to sit & assist with driving for prolonged periods.
• Previous experience working with high school students preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

MHS is seeking certified driving instructors to provide behind-the-wheel instruction to high school students after school and on weekends. Instructors will prepare students to earn their Pennsylvania driver's licenses in accordance with the Pennsylvania Driver's Manual.

The certified instructor is responsible for teaching the fundamentals of operating a vehicle safely and proper driving management techniques. All duties must be performed in strict conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. There is a 20-25 hour work expectation required each week, primarily afternoons and weekends, flexing to meet students’ schedules. This position is in Hershey, PA and pays $40.00 an hour.
