Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation seeks a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist to evaluate and train individuals with impairments to drive safely. Responsibilities include clinical and behind-the-wheel assessments, documentation, and collaboration with the care team to ensure independent mobility.

The role requires 2+ years in driver rehabilitation, a valid license, and the ability to travel up to 100% to community settings. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Qualifications

• CDRS credential through ADED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in driver training or related field.
• Experience with neurological or medically complex populations.
• Experience in rehabilitation or healthcare settings.
• Willingness to travel 75–100%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive driver evaluations including behind-the-wheel assessments.
• Identify functional limitations affecting driving performance.
• Provide structured driver training with adaptive equipment as needed.
• Teach compensatory driving strategies and safety.
• Prepare evaluation reports, training notes and discharge recommendations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and communicate with physicians.
