Job summary

PeopleFirst Healthcare in Kissimmee, FL seeks a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead and manage the Nutritional Services/Food Services department in accordance with regulatory standards. The CDM will plan, organize, and oversee daily operations to ensure high-quality, sanitary food service for residents.

The ideal candidate has CDM certification, at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a hospital or skilled care setting, and training in cost control and diet therapy.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Graduate from an accredited dietetic training program.
• CDM Certification required.
• Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related medical facility.
• Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and oversee Nutritional Services/Food Services operations in line with regulations.
• Ensure quality nutritional services daily and maintain a clean, sanitary environment.
• Lead and supervise departmental staff to deliver compassionate resident care.

Primary Purpose of the CDM (Certified Dietary Manager):

The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and oversee the operations of the Nutritional Services/Food Services Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our Facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator or the Food Services Director, to assure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the Nutritional Services/Food Services Department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner

Qualifications of the CDM (Certified Dietary Manager):

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.

• Must graduate from an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association.

• CDM Certification required.

Experience of the CDM (Certified Dietary Manager):

• Must have, as a minimum three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care Facility, or other related medical Facility.

• Must have training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
