Essential Job Functions:

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Monitor food quality and portion control to maintain high standards of nutrition and resident satisfaction.
• Oversee meal service to ensure residents receive timely and appropriate meals according to their dietary plans.
• This position requires flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Assign specific tasks and perform spot checks to ensure standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health policies, including MSDS information, safe work practices, infection control, and universal precautions.
• Promote teamwork within the department and across departments to ensure smooth operations and quality service.

Other Duties:

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining dining room service standards and procedures.
• Provide staff education and on-the-job training for dining room personnel.
• Ensure dining services comply with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations regarding service, sanitation, and personnel.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings, in-service training, and customized training courses.
• Inspect pantries and equipment for repair, maintenance needs, and cleanliness.
• Participate in in-service training and ensure completion of monthly education sessions via Relias.
• Audit pantry services and initiate improvements in collaboration with the dietary manager.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
