Job Overview

The Certified Dietary Manager at Sunrise is responsible for planning, scheduling, supervising, disciplining, evaluating, and directing the work of the Skilled Nursing dietary team members.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Assist the executive chef and lead cooks in developing menus for Skilled Nursing residents, assessing preferences and nutritional needs.
• Ensure staff education is provided to dietary team members according to education plans, and provide on-the-job training for Skilled Nursing team members.
• Develop work assignments for dietary staff, assign specific tasks, and monitor work to meet standards.
• Provide ongoing training and supervision for Skilled Nursing dietary team members.

Qualifications:

• Certified Dietary Manager certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least two (2) years of supervisory experience in food service operations within healthcare industries.
• One (1) year of supervisory and management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, discipline, and counseling.
• Current Certification in Nutrition, meeting local, state, and federal requirements.
• Ability to interpret menus, answer questions, coordinate meal services, and understand dietary requests.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
