Job summary

Piedmont McDuffie Hospital in Georgia seeks an ultrasound technologist to operate ultrasound equipment and perform clinical diagnostic exams in accordance with established standards. You will provide patient services across neonatal to geriatrics and communicate effectively with radiologists and staff.

Required qualifications include graduation from an approved DMS program and ARDMS registration within 180 days, BCLS on hire, and potential breast/vascular certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• ARDMS certification must be obtained within 180 days of employment.
• Breast Sonography registration via ARRT (BS) required.
• RVT/RVS/RT(S)/RT(VS) registration within 6 months of employment preferred.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Education

Graduate of CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Breast Sonography ARRT BS registration

RVT/RVS/RT(S)/RT(VS) registration within 6 months
