Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonography professional to operate ultrasound equipment for clinical exams and routine invasive procedures. You will provide patient services in accordance with established standards, drawing on knowledge of anatomy and pathology while collaborating with radiology staff.

The role requires completion of an approved sonography program, ARDMS/ARRT eligibility, and BCLS certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• Education from an approved diagnostic sonography program.
• No experience required; 1 year of experience preferred.
• ARDMS/ARRT registry eligibility or licensure as required.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Education

CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or ARRT-approved Sonography Program

ARDMS/ARRT registry eligible

BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire

ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography Licensure for Breast Ultrasound (via ARRT/ARDMS)
