Qualifications

• Valid crane operator certification (NCCCO or equivalent OSHA-recognized credential).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience operating cranes in construction or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of rigging practices and signaling standards.
• Ability to read and interpret load charts and lift plans.
• Good physical condition, coordination, and depth perception.
• OSHA 10 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes (mobile, tower, overhead, or crawler) to lift and move materials safely.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections of equipment, including cables, pulleys, hydraulics, and safety devices.
• Interpret load charts and ensure lifts remain within crane capacity limits.
• Communicate with riggers and signal persons using standard hand signals or radios.
• Ensure proper rigging, load stability, and secure attachment before lifting.
• Monitor weather and site conditions (wind, ground stability, visibility).
• Maintain logs of operations, inspections, and maintenance.
