Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Phoenix is seeking a Certified Crane Operator. The role requires 100% travel and the ability to operate a Manitowoc 555 crane efficiently. Candidates must possess NCCCO Crane Certification and have experience with crawler cranes, preferably on water. The successful candidate will ensure communication and coordination with team members, while also performing related labor duties when necessary. The position offers competitive compensation of $35.00 - $45.00/hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Must have NCCCO Crane Certification for Lattice Boom Crawler and RT cranes.
  • Crawler crane experience is required.
  • Prior experience operating cranes on water is preferred.

McMillen, Inc. is looking for a Certified Crane Operator. The right candidate will be willing to perform other related duties outside the cab in addition to operating the crane. We are a drug-free workplace, and you must consent to drug test and background checks.

The Operator's function is to be able to safely operate our L attice Boom Crawler Manitowoc 555 . The operator must have good operational skills to be able to produce high volume quality work in a safety-conscious work environment. The operator must be able to effectively communicate with boat captains, foremen, and laborers to produce quality work in high volume, time-sensitive conditions.

This position requires 100% travel.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 75 to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stopping, and handling of materials.
  • Repetitive use of hands and wrists using power, rotational, and vibration tools.

Direction Received:

  • Functions with regular supervision from managers/supervisors.
  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Must be willing to get out of equipment and assist with laborer duties as needed.

Required Experience, Education, Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • NCCCO Crane Certification for Lattice Boom Crawler and RT cranes
  • Crawler crane experience is required
  • Prior experience operating cranes on water is preferred
  • Pass a drug test and background check
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation to and from work

Compensation Package: $ 35.00 - $45.00/hour; DOE.
