Job summary

Qualifications

• Georgia Board of Court Reporting certification and two years of court reporting experience in a court and freelance field.
• Registered as a professional reporter with the NCRA or NVRA equivalent exam.
• Certification may be achieved by NCRA or NVRA testing.
• Knowledge of applicable state, federal, and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide official court reporting for the Superior Court.
• Create verbatim recordings of proceedings, including examinations, testimony, opinions and judgments.
• Read portions of transcript during trial and clarify inaudible statements or discrepancies.
• Transcribe, proofs, edit, and produce printed transcripts.
• Provide transcripts upon request within strict time limitations.
• Work cooperatively with team members to provide continuous improvement and customer-driven service.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
