Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support therapy plans under an Occupational Therapist in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting in Michigan. You will help with therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and patient progress while maintaining clear documentation and ongoing communication with the supervising therapist.

You must hold an OTA degree with licensure current in the state and CPR certification preferred; 0–1 years experience is noted.

Qualifications

• Education: OTA degree and licensure as required by state.
• Experience: 0–1 years in therapy settings.
• Licenses: Current OTA license and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans created by occupational therapists.
• Aid patients with exercises, ADLs, and adaptive techniques.
• Document patient responses, progress, and communicate with supervising therapist.
• Provide education to patients and families on home exercises and progress strategies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Support therapists in evaluating needs and reporting observations.
• Other duties as assigned.
