Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist in an interdisciplinary setting. You will implement treatment plans, assist patients with exercises, and document progress under supervision.

Must hold a current OTA license/certification with CPR preferred. This role offers weekly pay and benefits after the first month, plus a supportive team environment and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• OTA program accreditation from an approved school.
• Current OTA licensure or certification is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve function and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Licenses and Certifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification
