Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time Certified Coder II to translate medical narratives into precise ICD-10 and CPT coding for inpatient, outpatient, and complex records in a remote setting.

You will review accounts, maintain a coding accuracy rating of at least 95%, and ensure productivity while coding efficiently. Additionally, you will review and resolve claim edits for billing based on payer and auditor feedback.

Qualifications

  • Formal education in ICD-9-CM/CPT coding, medical terminology, anatomy, pathophysiology, and disease processes
  • At least 1 year of acute care coding experience
  • Certification in RHIT, RHIA, or CCS

Job description

Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Formal education in ICD-9-CM/CPT coding, medical terminology, anatomy, pathophysiology, and disease processes
  • At least 1 year of acute care coding experience or equivalent relevant experience
  • Certification in Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
