Job summary

Jefferson City Medical Group is seeking a qualified Medical Coder to join our billing team. The role requires CPC/CCA/CEMC credentials, 2+ years in physician coding, and strong ICD-10 and CPT knowledge.

  • Minimum two years in a Physician Coding environment.
  • CPC certified.
  • CCA certified.
  • CEMC for E&M specialties and Family Medicine.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Experience:

  • Minimum two years in a Physician Coding environment

Certification/License:

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
  • Certified Coding Associate (CCA)
  • Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC) for E&M Specialties and Family Medicine

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Competency in medical terminology as demonstrated by either formal training or experience
  • Must be able to assess self-learning needs and participate in educational programs as appropriate
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge and experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding
