Job summary

Quality Air Service is seeking a Controlled Environment Service Technician to test, certify, and service controlled environment systems in Western Michigan. The role requires strong HVAC knowledge, cleanroom practices, and precise documentation, with frequent local travel.

You will perform startup, certification, and troubleshooting on airflow control and monitoring equipment, read drawings, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 2+ years in controlled environment testing, TAB, HVAC, or related field.
• Strong understanding of airflow, HVAC sequences, room pressurization, and cleanroom standards.
• Experience with cleanroom certification procedures and environmental monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, testing, certification, and troubleshooting for airflow control and cleanroom systems.
• Read mechanical drawings and performance data to determine balancing techniques and project approaches.
• Certify cleanrooms, BSCs, laminar flow hoods, fume hoods, HEPA systems per standards.
• Conduct airflow measurements, room pressurization verification, and environmental monitoring.
• Assist with installation verification, startup support, and field adjustments.
• Follow cleanroom and safety protocols; prepare as-built drawings and reports.
• Attend trainings to stay updated on lab control and environmental systems.
• Complete all job closeout documentation and customer training.
