Job summary

OSS Health is seeking a Certified Central Sterile Tech to clean, sterilize, and store instrument sets for OR cases. You will pull case carts, stock for OR, and maintain par levels with attention to safety and infection control.

The role requires high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant experience, plus CBSPD/CRCST certification or progress toward it within 18 months. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least one year of experience cleaning, assembling, wrapping and sterilizing surgical equipment.
• CBSPD or CRCST certification required, or to be obtained within 18 months.
• Must have good time management and professional communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to plan and organize work.

Responsibilities

• Maintains instrument sets/trays and ensures items are available.
• Disassembles, cleans and disinfects instrumentation and equipment.
• Restsocks implant trays as needed and maintains decontamination records.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient, hospital and physician information.
• Operates sterilizers and washer disinfectors with proper safety practices.
• Assists with orientation and training of new personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
