Job summary

Dayton Children’s is seeking a Certified Central Sterile Supply Technician to join the Central Sterile Supply team at our Main Campus. You will clean, reprocess, assemble, and distribute instruments and instrument sets, and assemble case carts for various surgeries.

The role requires CRCST or CSPDT certification, a high school diploma or GED, and healthcare experience is preferred. Hours are 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday, at Dayton Children’s Main Campus.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED is required.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, assemble, sterilize, and distribute instruments and instrument sets.
• Assemble and distribute case carts for surgery as requested on pick tickets.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization and biological tests.
• Deliver carts to the staging room in surgery and collaborate with Surgery and other units.

Duties include: equipment cleaning, reprocessing and distribution, maintaining accurate records of sterilization and biological tests, assembly of case carts for surgery cases as requested on the pick tickets, and delivery of carts to the staging room in surgery. Responsible for complying with an effective hospital wide program for the prevention, and control of infection.
