Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification required; CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and maintain the sterile field for cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, trauma, and related procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs by ensuring instrumentation, sutures, supplies, implants are available and functional.
• Maintain aseptic technique and prevent contamination of the sterile field.
• Participate in counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Maintain awareness of patient safety, surgical flow, and priorities in a high-acuity CVOR.
