Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification required; CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Experience with cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and trauma cases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and maintain the sterile field for cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, trauma, and related surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs by ensuring instrumentation, sutures, supplies, graft materials, and implants are available.
• Maintain aseptic technique and prevent contamination of the sterile field.
• Participate in sponge, sharps, and instrument counts per policy and safety standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiovascular instrumentation and communicate needs promptly.
