Job summary

Exeter Group in Chicago's South Side is seeking a compassionate Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) to deliver substance use treatment and recovery services. The clinician will develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to address substance use and co-occurring behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• MAT experience strongly preferred; 1+ year SUD or behavioral health service experience.
• Knowledge of DSM-5, ASAM Criteria, Medicaid documentation, HIPAA, and accreditation requirements.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse and underserved populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance use assessments utilizing ASAM Criteria to evaluate history, mental health status, level of care, and needs.
• Develop, implement, and update person-centered treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling utilizing CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based modalities.
• Educate clients and families regarding addiction, relapse prevention, coping skills, recovery supports.
• Coordinate care with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and community providers.
