Orlando Health Physician Associates is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to perform patient care under the direction of a physician or Advanced Practice Provider in an ambulatory setting. The role requires BLS certification and CMA/CCMA/NCMA-type credentials with ongoing compliance and standard precautions.

Location is 1111 W. Fairbanks Ave Winter Park, FL 32789. Hours are Mon-Thurs 7:45am-5:15pm and Fri 7:45am-12:15pm; OBGYN MA experience and bilingual English/Spanish are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one year of verifiable work experience).
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains certification or registration as CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA, NRCAMA, or RMA by listed agencies.

Responsabilités

• Accountable to the Assistant Nurse Manager or Practice Manager for operational issues.
• Participates in quality initiatives and process improvement activities.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination and during examination.
• Documents patient data and education according to policies.
• Schedules and provides information for specialty testing and consultations.
• Enters orders into the electronic medical system under provider direction.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards.
• Maintains regular attendance per policy.
