Job summary

Sonic Automotive's BMW of West Houston is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repairs and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. The role includes inspections, repairs, test drives, and routine maintenance to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have BMW Certifications.
• Must have previous dealership experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspection to identify mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic issues.
• Carry out repairs per dealer and factory standards (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC).
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper function.
• Replace or repair components such as spark plugs, air filters, brakes, belts, and hoses.
• Conduct routine maintenance like oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and alignments.
• Notify service advisor if additional work is unnecessary or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
• Coordinate with parts department to procure required parts and save for warranty requests.
