Job summary

Momentum BMW, part of Sonic Automotive, is seeking an Automotive Service Technician in Houston, TX to perform repairs and maintenance to German-brand vehicles. The role requires 2+ years of dealership experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician working on German brands (BMW, VW, Audi).
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing including background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspection to identify mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic issues.
• Carry out repairs per diagnosed issues across engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper function after service.
• Replace or repair components such as spark plugs, filters, brakes, rotors, belts, hoses.
• Conduct routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, alignments.
• Communicate with service advisor and parts department to procure parts.
