Sonic Automotive, Inc. is seeking a BMW Technician for BMW of West Houston in Katy, TX.

The role involves inspecting vehicles, diagnosing issues, and performing comprehensive repairs to meet dealer and factory standards. Responsibilities include test-driving repaired vehicles, replacing key components, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating with the parts department to ensure timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have BMW certifications.
• Must have previous dealership experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic issues.
• Carry out repairs including engine, transmission, braking, suspension, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Take vehicles on test drives to ensure proper operation after repairs.
• Replace or repair components such as spark plugs, air filters, brake pads/rotors, timing belts, belts and hoses.
• Conduct routine maintenance like oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and alignments.
• Coordinate with parts department to procure parts and notify service advisor if extra work is unnecessary.
