Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Skilled Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and customer trust, with ample training and certification opportunities.

You will collaborate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to ensure efficient production and clear customer communication, while documenting all work performed and participating in ongoing factory training to stay current with updates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Automotive technical training or certification preferred.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on repair orders per dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend safety and reliability improvements.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain inventory of specialized tools not normally inventoried by service department.
