This role requires reading and following instructions, computer and calculator use, and clear communication with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid in-state driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to use a computer and calculator.
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors and other contacts.
• Lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Promotes dealership by presenting professional image, positive attitude, and clean work area.
• Road tests vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly.
• Suggests additional work to the Service Advisor for customer notification.
• Completes service and repair assignments to pass quality inspections or test drives.
• Collects information before requesting parts.
• Maintains necessary tools and keeps them in good condition.
• Notifies service advisor if delays are expected.
• Maintains cleanliness of the customer's vehicle.
• Fosters a productive working relationship with others.
• Provides clear service records for customer and dealership use.
• Explains completed repairs to customers if needed.
• Assists other technicians and service staff as required.
• Performs preventive maintenance and keeps dealership tools in working order.
• Follows safety rules and OSHA/hazardous waste regulations.
