Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for athletes in a PRN, per diem capacity. The role serves multiple schools including Linden High, Fenton High, Lake Fenton, and Holly High School, in the Greater Fenton, MI area.

The position emphasizes clinical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and coordination with sports medicine teams, with hours varying as needed and compensation at $35/hr. Eligible for CEUs and a professional support network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program.
• NATA-BOC Board of Certification for athletic trainers.
• CPR certification is current and valid.
• Applicable state athletic trainer license where required.
• Master’s degree preferred to enhance expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for contracted schools and professional teams.
• Coordinate access to additional health care for athletes.
• Design and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
• Perform preventive care, taping, hydration guidance, and minor wound care.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate EMS and acute care as needed.

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and/or professional teams and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting multiple schools including Linden High School, Fenton High School, Lake Fenton High School, and Holly High School.

Location: Greater Fenton, MI area

Type of Employment: Per Diem/PRN

Schedule: Hours Vary as needed

Compensation: $35/hr

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)
