Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes in the Philadelphia market. This PRN/PerDiem role offers flexibility to work in high school, college/university, and outreach settings, collaborating with other athletic trainers, sports PTs and sports medicine physicians.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree required.
• NATA-BOC certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
• Determine the need for and administer athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to reduce risk of injury.
• Assess effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitation techniques and document athlete response.
• Manage emergency incidents and coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support.
• Pursue outreach opportunities and participate in community events to promote the company.

This position will be supporting our partners in/around the Philadelphia market. This is a PRN/PerDiem position that offers flexibility and opens opportunities to work in the high school, college/university and outreach settings. We offer qualified candidates the opportunity to develop your skills while working with other Athletic Trainers, Sports Physical Therapists and Sports Medicine Physicians.

• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• CPR certification
• Applicable state license where required
