Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC Health) is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) - PRN to provide coverage for local affiliate teams, tournaments and community events. Under the general supervision of the physician, physical therapist, physician assistant or nurse practitioner, you will support injury prevention, evaluation and on-site care.

Responsibilities

• Provide PRN athletic trainer coverage for local high schools, clubs, colleges and pro teams.
• Cover local tournaments and community sports events.
• Work under the supervision of the physician, PT, PA or NP.

Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited college with a BS/BA. (Master's degree in Athletic Training preferred).
• Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC) and Licensure as an Athletic Trainer by the SCLLR Board of Medical Examiners.
• Must be able to adjust communication both verbal and non-verbal to interact appropriately and effectively with a wide variety of age groups including school age adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
• Weekend and evening hours to cover practices, games, tournaments, and special events.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
