Job summary

Select Physical Therapy in Avon, CT seeks a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes contracted with Canton High School. The role is part-time, offering 30 hours per week during the 2026/2027 school year, at $35.00 per hour, with a location at 34 Dale Road, Suite 203.

You will design and implement rehabilitation programs, perform proper athletic training techniques, manage emergencies, coordinate EMS, and promote outreach events to support athlete health and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• NATA-BOC Board of Certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury.
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of prescribed care plan.
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company.

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting Canton High School 30 hours per week for the 2026/2027 school year.
