Job summary

Select Physical Therapy in Avon, CT is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for student-athletes across Canton High School during the 2026/2027 school year. The role is part-time (30 hours per week) with compensation at $35.00 per hour, located at 34 Dale Road, Avon, CT 06001.

The ATC will design rehab programs, coordinate EMS and access to healthcare, and promote athletic health within contracted schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree required.
• NATA-BOC certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes' rehabilitation.
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (taping, wrapping, bracing, hydration and wound care).
• Determine effectiveness of techniques and record changes as indicated by athlete response.
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.).

Select Physical Therapyis seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting Canton High School 30 hours per week for the 2026/2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support, to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• CPR certification
• Applicable state license where required
