Select Physical Therapy in Hartford, CT is seeking a dedicated Float Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for student-athletes across contracted schools. This role covers the greater Hartford area and includes coordination of access to sports medicine services.

The position offers a competitive salary of $55,000–$65,000 annually, full-time hours, weekdays and some weekend coverage, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support career growth and personal well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.
• NATA-BOC board certification.
• CPR certification.
• Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapeutic programs for injured athletes.
• Determine the need for and administer athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease injury risk.
• Determine effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and document progress.
• Manage emergencies, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company.

Overview

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate Float Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes!

This unique position will provide support and coverage throughout the greater Hartford area within the Connecticut market, supporting established secondary school outreach contracts. Coverage locations are subject to change on a day-to-day basis. You will provide athletic training services to contracted schools and coordinate access to additional healthcare services for their athletes.

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000, annually, based on years of experience

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• CPR certification
• Applicable state license where required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
