A leading company in sports medicine is looking for an Athletic Trainer to provide services at a private high school and community events. Responsibilities include evaluating injuries, designing rehabilitation programs, and liaising between coaches and healthcare providers. Job Description
Provide sports medicine services at a private high school practices and games as well as community events.
Educate patients and families on injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques.
Evaluate and treat acute and chronic athletic injuries.
Design and supervise rehabilitation programs tailored to student-athletes.
Act as a liaison between coaches, athletes, parents, and physicians.
Collaborate with the Athletic Director to develop, implement and monitor emergency action plans.
Maintain compliance with state laws and practice guidelines for Athletic Trainers.
Support a positive team environment in both clinic and outreach settings.
Collaborate in the development and enforcement of school athletic health policies.
Keep treatment areas, equipment, and supplies clean and organized.
Collaborate with coaches to appropriately train and supervise student workers.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
NATA-BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
Licensed in TN as an Athletic Trainer or license eligible.
Ability to work closely with school staff and administration, parents, athletes, area health care providers and our clinics’ staff to build and maintain morale and work relationships.
Advise, manage and follow TN State laws as well as TSSAA rules and guidelines
CPR certification
Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
Basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, database software, and MS Office.
Working knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA laws.
School is desiring a candidate with strong and consistent communication skills with parents, coaches and administration, solid work ethic, and well rehearsed in rehabilitation skills.
Prior secondary school experience strongly preferred.
