The North Plainfield School District, serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic professional for the position of Certified Athletic Trainer at North Plainfield High School.

The Certified School Athletic Trainer will provide comprehensive athletic training services for high school and middle school teams. This is a 10-month position, with additional hours compensated on a per diem basis. Responsibilities include prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions related to athletic participation. Collaboration with coaches, nurses, administrators, physicians, and families is essential to ensure student-athlete safety during practices and games.

Qualifications

• School Athletic Trainer Standard Certificate through the State Board of Medical Examiners
• Satisfactorily complete the requirements for licensure as an athletic trainer; submit a copy of your license.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as required by the state
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
• Prior experience working with adolescent athletes in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Salary ranges from $66,765 to $99,470, commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, dental, flexible spending, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, professional development, and mentoring.
