ACCESS Family Care in Missouri is seeking a compassionate Certified Application Counselor to help individuals and families gain access to affordable health insurance coverage. The position requires enrolling clients, conducting outreach, and coordinating follow-up services while ensuring HIPAA compliance and culturally competent care

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in Public Health, Outreach, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to serving underserved and diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with applications and renewals for Medicaid, CHIP, and Marketplace health insurance programs.

This position plays a vital role in supporting our mission of serving the underserved by providing enrollment assistance, education, and outreach related to Medicaid, CHIP, and Health Insurance Marketplace programs.

Position Summary

The Certified Application Counselor provides eligibility and enrollment assistance for Medicaid, CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program), and Health Insurance Marketplace coverage. This individual will educate patients and community members on available health insurance options, assist with applications and renewals, conduct outreach activities, and ensure clients receive appropriate follow-up services.
