Job summary

UW Health is seeking an Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA/Clinical Anesthetist) to provide anesthesia care to a complex patient population under medical direction by UW Department of Anesthesiology faculty. The position requires collaboration with administrative, nursing, physician, and other staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and to support UW Health's educational and research missions.

Work in an academic setting with opportunities to contribute to S-AA education.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program.

Work Schedule:

.75-1.0 FTE, based on the candidate's preference. 8, 10, 12, and 14 hour shifts available to provide flexibility. Weekend and/or PM shift commitments optional for additional compensation. Some weekend, night, Holiday and pager call may apply at some locations. This position will be assigned a primary work location but must also be willing to work at any of the following locations: University Hospital, American Family Children's Hospital, East Madison Hospital, Madison Surgery Center, and the Digestive Health Center in Madison, WI.

Pay

• Pay Range $238,000.00 - $333,000.00 / year
• New graduate students may be eligible for up to $150,000 in student loan repayment over a five year period. For more information on this program, visit UW Health Wisconsin | Student Loan Repayment or ask your recruiter for more details during your interview*.
• Practicing CAAs may be eligible for up to a $75,000 sign-on bonus.
• Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants.

• Provide anesthesia care to a complex patient population under the medical direction provided by the UW Department of Anesthesiology faculty anesthesiologists.
• Work collaboratively with administrative, nursing, physician, and other staff to assure safe, effective, quality patient care and to promote UW Health's educational and research missions.
