Job summary

The waters of sullivan is seeking a Certified Activity Director to lead the Activity Department in a skilled nursing setting. You will plan, organize, develop and direct activities to meet residents' physical, emotional and psychosocial well-being, while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Certified Activity Director with relevant licensure.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years in Activities Department in a Skilled Nursing Facility, 2 of which must have been as an Activity Director.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the Activity Department in accordance with standards and policies to meet residents' well-being.
• Facilitate group activities.
• Encourage activity involvement and chart attendance.
• Assist in keeping activity supplies clean and organized.
• Assist with 1 on 1 activities and transport residents to and from activities.
• Assist with outings and events and other duties.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Comply with confidentiality, HIPPA and Residents' Rights.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

• Facilitate group activities

• Encourage activity involvement and chart attendance

• Assist in keeping activity supplies clean and organized

• Assist with 1 on 1 activities, transport residents to and from activities

• Assist with outings and special events and other assigned duties

• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.

• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
