Job summary

CommuniCare Health is seeking a Certified Activities Director to oversee the activities teams at Salem West Healthcare Center and Salem North. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation (or the 90-hour course) and prior management experience.

• Certification in activities required.
• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or 90-hour course for activity professionals.
• Prior management or leadership experience in healthcare preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate resident-centered activities.
• Involve residents in planning activities and advocate for their needs and rights.
• Participate in resident, family, and department meetings as required.
• Maintain records and reports related to activities.
• May participate in fundraising events.
• Promote community relationships through outings and volunteers.
• Identify need for and perform disciplinary actions as required.
