Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certification Manager / Quality Control / ISO System Auditor to join our team on a full-time, freelance, or contractual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing ISO certification activities, conducting audits across various management system standards, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of audit deliverables.

You will work closely with clients, auditors, and technical reviewers to uphold the highest standards of compliance, integrity, and operational excellence in line with ISO/IEC 17021-1 and applicable accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a successful applicant, you will be expected to:

  • Manage ISO Certification Processes
    Coordinate certification activities from application to certificate issuance, including audit planning, report review, and client communication.
  • Conduct ISO System Audits
    Plan and perform audits for standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO/IEC 27001 and other systems, Assess the effectiveness of management systems and gather objective evidence through site visits, document reviews, and interviews.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance
    Review audit reports for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal and accreditation body requirements. Support the continual improvement of audit practices.
  • Manage and Prepare for Accreditation Body Assessments
    Lead preparations and represent the organization during regular accreditation body assessments and witness audits—e.g., with SAC, JAS-ANZ, or other recognized accreditation bodies. Ensure all records, audit files, and procedures comply with ISO/IEC 17021-1 and related IAF MD documents.
  • Uphold Ethical and Professional Standards
    Maintain independence, confidentiality, and impartiality in all audit and certification-related activities.
  • Support Clients and Auditors
    Communicate professionally with clients to clarify findings and certification requirements (without providing consultancy). Assist or guide auditors where necessary to maintain consistency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
  • Degree in Engineering, Quality, Environmental Science, IT, Occupational Safety, or equivalent field.
Certifications
  • Lead Auditor Certification in at least two ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001).
  • Training in ISO/IEC 17021-1 (advantageous).
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in auditing, quality management, or certification functions.
  • Previous work with or for a certification body is preferred.
  • Experience handling integrated management system (IMS) audits is a plus.
Other Requirements
  • Available for on-site or remote audit assignments as per schedule.
  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a certification/technical team.
