Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Certified Medical Coder to accurately code, sequence, and abstract outpatient records using ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines to ensure timely reimbursement and reliable data.

You will work with physicians to obtain clarifications and perform duties within approved practices, exercising independent judgment under established guidelines.

Candidates must hold CPC or CCS-P or CBCS certification, with one year of outpatient coding experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Code, sequence and abstract outpatient records per ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.

Minimum Job Requirements

Work Experience

One year of outpatient coding experience is preferred.

License/Registration/Certification

Certified Professional Coder (CPC); Certified Coding Specialist- Physician based (CCS-P); or Certified Billing & Coding Certification (CBCS) required.

Education and Training

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate of Applied Sciences in Medical Billing and Coding degree preferred.
