Job description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Cerner CommunityWorks Project Manager to support a hospital‑wide EHR implementation. This role provides end‑to‑end project oversight and PMO support, with strong executive visibility and direct responsibility for go‑live readiness and successful outcomes. You’ll partner closely with hospital leadership and implementation vendors to ensure alignment, manage risk, and drive execution across the full project lifecycle.

This is a hands‑on healthcare IT implementation role with significant exposure to executive stakeholders and Steering Committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive‑level project oversight, governance support, and strategic coordination with client leadership
  • Support Executive Steering Committee activities, including risk escalation, mitigation strategies, and implementation recommendations
  • Monitor program‑level risks, dependencies, scope, timelines, and budget impacts
  • Deliver PMO support by reviewing integrated project schedules, tracking overdue tasks, and coordinating updates
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports, including executive dashboards and leadership materials
  • Maintain project artifacts such as risk & issue logs, milestone trackers, and alignment dashboards
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and communication planning across clinical, operational, and IT teams
  • Coordinate with client stakeholders to gather updates, validate progress, and support readiness efforts
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to support timely delivery of project deliverables
  • Support end‑user readiness and go‑live activities, including training adoption, command center support, and real‑time issue resolution
  • Assist with hypercare and post‑go‑live transition planning
  • Lead project closeout and continuous improvement planning, including final documentation and a post‑go‑live roadmap
  • Weekly Executive Summary Reports (status, risks, priorities, and stakeholder updates)
  • Risk & Issue Logs (initial creation and ongoing updates)
  • Stakeholder Communication Plan (draft, final, and ongoing maintenance)
  • Executive Steering Committee materials (monthly decks, dashboards, recommendations)
  • Project Closeout Package, including final documentation and post‑implementation plans
Required Qualifications
  • Proven healthcare IT project management experience
  • Experience supporting EHR implementations, preferably Cerner CommunityWorks
  • Strong executive‑level communication and governance support experience
  • Hands‑on PMO execution experience (schedules, reporting, risk management, dashboards)
  • Experience supporting go‑live, hypercare, and post‑implementation activities
