Job summary

Madisonhealth is seeking a dedicated Admitting Clerk to input admission information into the Cerner system and ensure accuracy in pre-certifications and eligibility checks. The role supports hospital scheduling, file maintenance, discharge reports, and staff training while upholding Integrity, Respect and Caring values.

The position is part-time with a Monday 7:00am–5:30pm shift, every other weekend, and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in Admitting or PBX is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner Patient Accounting System is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter admission information into Cerner accurately.
• Pre-certify hospital admissions and verify patient eligibility.
• Pre-admit patients scheduled in the hospital scheduling system.
• Maintain current files, process discharge reports, and assist with interviewing and training.
